Introducing new staff

My name is Cathy and I am a new research fellow at the department this year. The research team, consisting of Professor Pablo Fernandez-Penas, Dr Shelley Hwang (research fellow), Dr Marina Ali (research unit manager) and Ms Rupal Patel (clinical trials Admin officer) has been such a pleasure to work with!
Our unit runs seven clinical trials on a variety of dermatological conditions. Our newest trial and currently recruiting is one on imiquimod versus radiotherapy for lentigo maligna. Please do not hesitate to refer any patients with LMs that may be suitable for this trial to us.
Work aside, the year kicked off with a fantastic multi-cultural food party at Professor Fernandez-Penas’ house where we were spoilt with his home cooked seafood octopus-ink paella and chicken paella. The week after, we filmed for the Westmead Oscars with an amazing video starring all colleagues at the department. The contents of the video is still a secret but you will find it out at the Westmead Hospital Oscar night.
