High Risk Melanoma Clinic

Our high risk melanoma clinic has recruited 21 patients till date. We are looking forward to recruit more in the future. Any person with a history of 2 or more melanomas, 1 melanoma and positive family history or dysplastic nevus syndrome is welcome to participate in the trial. Our experience so far has been very positive in terms of patient participation and self awareness. The study aims to detect melanomas in high risk patients using specialised digital photography and dermoscopy. This will obviate the need of unnecessary biopsies and excisions done in these patients in the future. We hope that this study will bring a positive outcome in the attitudes of patients and reduce their anxiety about melanomas in the future.
