Last weekend, Dr Rose Liu (research fellow) and I attended the Australasian Dermatopathology Society Annual Meeting in Melbourne.
The meeting was an extremely enlightening learning experience, where we learned about the dermatopathology of various skin conditions including lymphoma, skin infection and alopecia. We also learned about newer immunohistochemistry stains. The clinicopathological gems had a wide range of interesting cases.
Rose and I also presented a few of our Oncodermatology Clinic cases at the meeting, including one on anti-Programmed cell death 1 (anti-PD1) therapy induced psoriasis and a few cases of bullous disorders under anti-PD1 therapy. We are grateful to the pathology department here at Westmead Hospital for continuous collaboration in research projects and cases.
