European Association of Dermato-Oncology (EADO) 2015

The 11th EADO Congress and 8th World Meeting of Interdisciplinary Melanoma/Skin Cancer Center was held from 28 to 31st of Oct 2015 in Marseille, France. I was fortunate to attend the conference in the beautiful city of Marseille and enjoy a very informative scientific program.
The following 3 posters were presented from our team:
1. Mechanisms of BRAFi Induced hyperproliferative Cutaneous Conditions
2. Comparative Proteomic Analysis of Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma for the identification of Novel Biomarkers
3. Cutaneous adverse events of anti-Programmed cell Death 1therapy in patients with metastatic melanoma: A single-institution cohort
The conference covered in great detail all the recent trials in melanoma. Other topics such as genetics, biology and epidemiology of melanoma were also presented. The last a few sessions of the meeting was dedicated to other skin cancers such as cutaneous lymphoma, squamous cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma. The highlight of the meeting for me was the realisation that at Westmead Hospital we are involved in the majority of this cutting edge research.
