2015 Cancer Life-span Symposium – FROM THE VERY BEGINNING TO THE END OF LIFE: CANCER OVER THE LIFESPAN

*****************
The 2015 Cancer Life-span Symposium was held on 9th of September at the Westmead Millennium Institute and more than 90 cancer researchers had attended the symposium.
The symposium which was organized by the Cancer Research Network, in collaboration with the Lifespan Research Network, was a great opportunity for showcasing recent cancer research achievements throughout the lifespan, encouraging interactions amongst postgraduate students, early career researchers and senior researchers, and fostering collaboration between members of the two Networks.
As a Cancer Research Network member, and a PhD student at the Department of Dermatology at Westmead Hospital, I was involved in organizing the symposium along with fellow committee members. Apart from formal and informal networking opportunities, the symposium gave me the opportunity to learn about a wide range of research happening across NSW.
At the Department of Dermatology, we are always happy to take part in organizing conferences and symposiums, and engage with other researchers in the field.
